My trip in the summer
Last year on May 9th 2010, it was summer. Summer happens during May, June, and July. When summer came, I was very happy. When summer came, it was time to my trip and to celebrate it. My destination of my trip was still Bali Island last year. I choose Bali because I want to spend my summer season and to fulfill my promise to my close friend there. My close friend’s name is Dona. The other reason, I came to work, to my business, and to spend my summer.
Dona invited me to go to Kuta beach, Tanah Lot and many places in Bali. I enjoyed my trip last year. I learn from her how to manage time and how to enjoy our live. Dona is my close friend and my family. I promised her to come to Bali in the last year and receive her challenge. She wants me to live with simple family in the village. The village was so far from town. The access to the village is only by motorcycle. Car could not access this village. She wants me to survive and to adaptation with the situation there. In my heart I would like to say “I can do it” and the end I would like to say “DONE”. I was in that village 3days but it was so hard for me. I have to follow the daily life of the family. There are Mr. Dolah and Mrs. Dimah. Mrs. Dimah is Mr. Dolah’s wife.
First day, I felt so boring. I have to help mrs. Dimah to cook in the small kitchen, to take water from a well and to swept yard in front of house. After that I have to help Mr. Dolah to take firewood, grass, and a fish net. Everyday my daily activities changed. It was not me, but I have to prove to Dona that I can do it. Second day was similar to first day. Third day was my last day with Mr. Dolah’s family. Both Mr. Dolah and Mrs. Dimah are very kind. They are very patient to do their daily life. I learned how to appreciate life, how to love each other, and how to become be a good person.
Money is not everything. Togetherness is important role. Life will be more colorful. It was my trip in the summer that I can’t forget it. Thanks for Dona. You were inspired me. My different trip in the summer gave me expensive experiences.
